Ask a project question

Quotation and product planning

What information should I send for a custom puzzle quotation?

Share the finished size, preferred piece count, quantity, number of artwork designs, packaging preference, artwork status, delivery destination and desired launch date. If some decisions are still open, tell us the product use case and target market so the quotation assumptions can be discussed clearly.

What determines the minimum order quantity for a custom jigsaw puzzle?

MOQ depends on the finished format, number of designs, packaging construction, material choice, cutting setup and production plan. Rather than relying on a generic number, ask for the MOQ and pricing assumptions for your specific puzzle and packaging configuration.

Can you help if my artwork is not finished yet?

Yes. An early concept, reference image or product brief can be enough to begin discussing size, piece count and packaging. Final print production should only proceed after the artwork files, dimensions and approval reference have been confirmed.

Which piece count is suitable for my product?

The right piece count depends on the intended user, finished size, image detail and product position. A children’s or educational item may need larger, fewer pieces, while an art or hobby product may use a higher piece count. Review the format through a sample when possible.

Can one order include multiple puzzle designs?

It can, but multiple designs may affect quantity planning, artwork handling, packaging versions and the efficiency of the production run. State the quantity per design in your RFQ so the supplier can quote the project accurately.

Samples, production and quality control

Should I approve a sample before mass production?

Yes. A sample is the clearest way to review artwork placement, print appearance, material feel, cut quality, packaging and the complete customer experience before a larger production run is released.

What should I check when reviewing a puzzle sample?

Compare the sample with the approved artwork and product brief. Check the finished dimensions, image orientation, important visual details, piece fit, cut edges, box construction, bag, poster, booklet and any additional components.

How is puzzle quality checked during production?

Relevant checks can include artwork confirmation, printed-sheet review, die-cut quality, puzzle-piece release, component count, packaging presentation and master-carton packing. The most useful inspection points should be agreed in the product specification before production begins.

Can I arrange a shipment inspection?

Yes. Shipment inspection can be planned around the approved product reference. Typical checks include sampled units, correct artwork and components, packaging condition, carton quantity, carton dimensions and any receiving marks requested by your retailer or forwarder.

Can you provide certificates or test reports?

Only current, verified documents should be used for a project. Tell us the product market, age group and documentation requirements at the quotation stage so relevant evidence can be discussed. We do not make unverified certification claims.

Materials, packaging and shipping

Can I choose between cardboard and wooden puzzle formats?

Yes. Cardboard is often used for scalable retail, art and promotional formats. Wooden puzzles can suit premium, tactile or keepsake products. The best option depends on target price, customer experience, packaging, shipping and project requirements.

Can you make a custom puzzle box and inserts?

Yes. Depending on the project, packaging can include rigid boxes, tuck boxes, tins, bags, posters, booklets, trays, stickers or retailer-specific labels. Confirm the complete component list before sampling so the box is designed around the intended pack-out.

Does packaging affect price and lead time?

It can. Box format, materials, finishes, inserts, manual assembly, special shapes and quantity can change the production plan. A clear packaging brief makes it easier to identify which choices affect cost and timing.

What should be confirmed before international shipping?

Confirm the delivery destination, freight arrangement, master-carton quantity, estimated dimensions and weight, labels or carton marks, pallet requirements and any warehouse or retailer instructions. These details are easier to manage before final packing.

Do you work with overseas buyers and freight forwarders?

Yes. We support B2B overseas projects and can prepare packing information to work with your chosen freight forwarder or shipping arrangement. Share any receiving or documentation requirements early in the project.
